Image compressor

Less weight, same look. Shrink photos and images right here: nothing is uploaded to any server.

Drop your images here

You can pick several at once. You can also paste them with Ctrl + V.

JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF (first frame), and HEIC if your browser can open it.

Press settings

Maximum size is measured on the long side; smaller images are never enlarged.

80

Between 70 and 85 usually looks the same and weighs much less.

Background for transparency

JPG doesn’t support transparency: transparent areas of a PNG are filled with this color.

Metadata is removed. Recompressing strips EXIF data such as GPS location, camera, and date. If an image is kept as-is because it was already lighter, it keeps its own.

    How it works

    1. Choose, drop, or paste your images. They’re processed on your device, one by one.
    2. Adjust the format, quality, and maximum size. Every change applies to all of them.
    3. Press Compare to see before and after with a divider, or at 1:1 to check the details.
    4. Download each image or all of them in a ZIP.

    Questions

    Are my photos uploaded?
No. Everything happens in your browser; you can go offline after opening the page and it keeps working.
    Which format should I use?
For photos, WebP or JPG. For screenshots, logos, or images with transparency, PNG or WebP.
Why is the original sometimes kept?
If the new version weighs more (it happens with already optimized images), you get the original file so you never lose out.
